Ray Cmarik and Russ Miller established Southern Tool & Machine Co. in 1986. These two gentlemen decided to bring service and knowledge to the ever-changing machining world. Ray and Russ began in a small 100sq. ft. office and within 6 months moved to a larger building to meet the demands of you, the customer.

We attribute our growth to our top priority of customer service. After acquiring the Poco Graphite line in 1988, and PCS in 1989, other manufacturers realized Southern Tool and Machine’s mission of servicing the customer. In 1996, Ray and Russ found it necessary to open a branch in Largo, FL. To better service the West Coast of Florida.
